In this guide, we will see “sample resignation letters before the end of contract” and some useful letter templates you can adjust to your own personal circumstances.
A sample resignation letter before the end of the contract is needed when you are thinking about submitting a formal resignation (job resignation) to your employer.
It doesn’t matter if you are a teacher or have a teaching position working at a school or you are a manager at a restaurant, as an employee, it is important to let your employer know that you will be leaving or you intend to quit.
Even though you can resign by email it is more professional and polite to hand in your resignation letter in writing and in person.
There are many possible reasons why you decided to quit your job, but it is important you feel ready to take that step and leave your job on good terms.

I am writing to inform you of my resignation from WES Financial. This, of course, means I will no longer be working with your account. I will be leaving WES Financial at the end of this month, so my final day will be September 30, 2018.
I want to assure you that your account will not suffer at all, as all of my clients are being transferred to my esteemed colleague Michael Smith. He has worked at WES for over 20 years and I am extremely confident that you will get along great. He will continue to maintain your portfolio as I have unless you want to diversify more in the future.
If you have any questions concerning my resignation, please do not hesitate to email me up until the 30th. After that, Michael will be happy to schedule a meeting for you to get acclimated to the change.
Thank you so much for your understanding in this matter. It has been a pleasure working for you and I wish you all the best in your endeavors. Rest assured that your funds are in good hands.

If you want to resign from a contract position, make sure to check your contract first.
Have a conversation with your boss or line manager about your intention to leave.
If your contract does not allow you to leave immediately propose a renegotiation of your contract instead of quitting right away.
You can announce to your clients that a trusted employee is leaving by sending a resignation announcement to customers/clients.
Depending on your position you may be allowed to inform them yourself or the company will do it upon your departure.
A one-month notice resignation has the same format as any other basic/standard resignation letter, the only difference would be the last day of employment according to the 1 month notice period.
You can resign and leave immediately but you may be breaching your employment contract, however, your employer can’t force you to work but might ask for compensation.
Usually, employers expect at least a 2 weeks’ notice period so they can have enough time to find a replacement.
You can say goodbye to a client via email in different ways, you could tell them that you have enjoyed the time working for them or that you will miss them but if you want to be more formal, just mention it was a pleasure working with them.
In addition, say you hope it goes well for them and you could ask them to remain in contact.
